Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk

Brushed Alpaca Silk by Drops Garn Studio is a luxury yarn made by natural extra fine fibres, that gives a distinction touch to your simple clothes.

Knit clothes and complements with this hairy yarn that offers a light finish with a warm and nice touch. Its short hair is really soft on your skin.

It is a light yarn, so it is really comfortable to keep you warm with light and thin clothes.

• 77% Brushed Alpaca
• 23% Mulberry Silk

The alpaca fibre offers tendresse but also resistant to your clothes. It has a super nice, soft and sweet touch, because it is a thin and light fibre.

It offers high thermal qualities. Despite being a thin yarn, it will keep you warm in the coldest days.

Both appearance fibres offer a beautiful natural shine to your clothes.

The mulberry silk comes from the first bag of the silkworm. The first one gives better qualities than the rest: a natural special shine and an excellent soft touch.

It offers an excellent softness and lightness and when it is combined with the alpaca, it gives better qualities.

You should know that Brushed Alpaca Silk by Drops...

• Each ball has 25 grams and 140 metres.
• Its thickness is recommended to knit with the 5 mm knitting needles.
• To knit a long sleeves pull size L, you will need between 6 - 7 balls.
• To knit a 170 x 35 cm scarf you will need 5 balls.
• To knit a 175 x 60 cm shawl you will need 5 - 6  balls.
• To make a 10 x 10 cm square you have to mount 17 stitches and do 24 laps.
• It is suitable to be washed in the washing machine at 30ºC.
• Do not iron it.
• Do not dry it in the dryer.
• We recommend you to dry it horizontally.
• Made in Peru.
