Drops Andes

Andes by Drops Garn Studio yarns is a yarn made by natural fibres that have not been treated until the dye, so it offers a better quality, with lots of natural properties.

At the same time, these fibres garantie more durable clothes, keeping the sewing pieces form .

Its card twisted strand gives a soft curly  finish, really original to knit warm clothes and complements.

The yarn Drops Andes is made by:

• 65% Peruvian Highlands Wool
• 35% Superfine Alpaca

The Peruvian Highlands Wool and the alpaca offer high quality clothes. The first one is made by thin and short fibres that keep the clothes form, and the superfine alpaca, apart from being an extrafine, excellent quality fibre, it is softer than other fibres.

Both fibres are excellent thermal regulators, so the will keep your body temperature despite the cold.

So it is a really comfortable yarn to create your autumn and winter clothes to keep you perfectly warm.

You should know that Andes de Drops...

• Each ball has 100 grams and 90 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 9 mm knitting needles.
• To knit a long sleeves pull size M - L you will need 15 balls.
• To make a 10 x 10 cm square you have to mount 10 stitches and do 14 laps.
• It is recommended to wash it by hand at 30ºC.
• You can iron it at low temperatures.
• Do not dry it in the dryer.
• We recommend you to dry it horizontally.
• It is a felt yarn.
• Made in Peru.

Some of these colours offer a soft speckled mixture due to its carded strand.
