Drops Alpaca Boucle

Alpaca Boucle by Drops Garn Studio is a curly texture yarn, thread with superfine alpaca, which offers a soft texture.

This yarn offers all the natural yarn’s properties, because it has not been treated until the dye progress. Then they preserve all the fibres’ natural qualities, and gives softness to your skin.

At the same time, it offers a better finish and a high quality texture.

Bouclé means curl in French, so this yarn’s name refers to the little curls of the alpaca fibre, which gives its soft texture and the curly strand.

The yarn Drops Alpaca Boucle is made by:

• 80% Alpaca
• 15% Wool
• 5% Polyamide

These fibres give light clothes with a fantasy touch.

This fibres mixture offers a fluffy finish, and thanks to the alpaca and the wool, it will keep you warm in the coldest autumn and winter days.

The alpaca fibre is thin, so it offers better quality clothes than other kind of yarns.

The polyamide makes the yarn stronger, durable and resistant to the washes.

You should know that Alpaca Bouclé de Drops...

• Each ball has 50 grams and 140 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 5 mm knitting needles.
• To knit a long sleeves pull size M - L you will need 6 - 7 balls.
• To knit a collar you will need just 2 balls.
• To make a 10 x 10 cm square you have to mount 17 stitches and do 22 laps.
• It is suitable to be washed in the washing machine at 30ºC.
• It cannot be ironed.
• It cannot be dried in the dryer.
• We recommend you to dry it horizontally.
• It is a felt yarn.
• Made in Peru.

Its colours are mixed, because they have thin different colour carded fibres in the same strand. It offers a main colour with a soft speckled or colour effect.
