Scheepjes Downtown

Scheepjes introduces Downtown, the perfect yarn to knit projects for autumn and winter. Its composition of merino wool fibers and nylon results in a resistant yarn which you can use to knit durable projects. Downtown is characterized by its softness and fluffiness, and thanks to its twisted thread you can get polished results!

This yarn is very colorful and will provide a striped effect to your garments and accessories. This is the perfect yarn to knit striped socks, but you can also use it to knit warm projects such as sweaters, scarves, or beanies. You can also combine it with Metropolis, a yarn presenting the same features and thickness but in plain colors.

Scheepjes Downtown is made of:

• 75% extra fine merino wool
• 25% nylon

The merino wool will keep you warm and you will find it very soft to the touch thanks to its extra fine and natural fibers. Combined with the nylon, we get the perfect yarn to knit cozy and resistant garments which you can wear during the coldest seasons of the year. You can also wash and tumble dry it without worrying about losing its thermal properties.

Which are the features of this yarn?

• Each ball has 50 grams and around 200 meters.
• Its thickness is perfect to work with the 2,5 – 3 mm knitting needles.
• Weight: fingering.
• Mount 29 stitches and do 45 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
• Washable at up to 40ºC with products without bleach.
• Tumble dry at low temperature.
• Dry flat recommended.
• Iron at up to 110ºC.
