Detailed information
This kit includes all the materials you need to participate in Scheepjes CKAL 2024 - Goldcrest Scarf. This Scheepjes CKAL will publish the pattern to knit or crochet a scarf, so you can choose your favourite technique.
A CKAL is an exciting way to knit together with knitters from all over the world. Every week, a part of the pattern is published on the Scheepjes social networks, allowing you to access the instructions in English, German and Dutch, and to knit at the same pace as other knitters. In this group you can share ideas, tips, exchange advice or ask questions.
With patterns and explanations available in English, German and Dutch, this CKAL sparks your creativity by allowing you to choose between knitting and crocheting, using the Colourwork technique. Explore stitches such as rice stitch, stripes, mosaic crochet or mosaic knitting to create a unique scarf.
If you choose the crochet option, you will be able to crochet a long rectangular scarf measuring 26 × 180 cm, using 3.5 and 4 mm crochet hooks. If you choose the knitting option, you will create a long rectangular scarf measuring 25 x 170 cm. This option uses a set of 3 mm double-pointed needles, 3 mm circular needles and 80 cm long, a 3 mm crochet hook and 4 stitch markers.
The CKAL starts on 24 January 2024. From this date onwards, a part of the pattern will be published weekly in the official Scheepjes Facebook groups. Normally it will be published every Wednesday, with additional photos, videos and useful tips
