Schachenmayr Catania Grande is a 100% mercerised cotton perfect for knitting fresh clothes, complements, crafts, amigurumis and all kind of projects.

Thanks to its combed thread, your projects will be perfectly uniform avoiding lint and fuzz and offering a well-polished finish.

Its thread is made by 8 ends twisted between them forming one combed, gassed and mercerised thread.

It has a wide range of colours available.

Both Catania Grande and Catania are threads made of 100% cotton fibres with the merceristaion and gassed treatment.

Thanks to these treatments, Catania Grande offers flashy colours with a little hit of bright.

You should know that Catania Grande…

• Each ball has 50 grams and 63 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 4 - 5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
• Mount 16 stitches and do 22 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square with the 4 - 5 mm knitting needles.
• It can be washed in the washing machine up to 40ºC wool program.
• Do not use the dryer.
• It can be ironned at a medium temperature, up to 140ºC.

Warning: You should wash this yarn in the washing machine at 60ºC in the first wash for avoiding discoloration.

To knit a women long sleeve sweater size 40 you will need 750 grams (15 balls).
