Detailed information

The Sashiko Embroidery Thread comes in the form of a 40 metres skein and in different colors: white, ecru and indigo blue, the characteristic colors of Japanese Sashiko embroidery.

With these threads, you can create beautiful embroidery. We recommend using these threads with Sashiko patterns from Sew Easy to obtain original effects as well as the Sashiko embroidery cotton fabric from the same brand.

What are the features of this thread ?

  • 100% cotton thread.
  • Skein of 40 meters of thread.
  • 3 colors available : white, ecru and blue.

Traditional Japanese embroidery is customary to be a white thread that must be embroidered on an indigo blue fabric. The ecru color thread must be embroidered on an off-white fabric and the blue thread should be woven onto a white fabric. That's how the native Japanese did it back then!

Make different embroidered couture creations like aprons, bags, towels, cushions, bedspreads and more... Get inspired by the book and create your own projects.
