Rowan Island Blend

Island Blend by Rowan is a yarn made of selected fibers for an outstanding quality finish. Contains a lot of merino fibers coming from Falkland islands, considered one of the best yarn producers, where the fibers have a better quality thanks to sheep’s well-being.

Sheep of this area produce finer hair, and therefore, it is more soft. The merino fibers that form Island Blend are mixed with baby alpaca and silk, resulting in a fabric of a higher quality.

Your sewing pieces will have an unique touch! They will be soft, pleasant to the touch, and also very warm. Perfect to warm up every kind of skin.

Rowan Island Blend is made of:

• 70% Merino Fine Falkland
• 15% Baby Alpaca
• 15% Silk

Characteristics of Island Blend by Rowan:

• Each ball has 50 grams and 125 metres.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 4 mm. knitting needles.
• Mount 21 stitches and do 28 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square.
• We recommend to wash it manually.
• It can be ironed at a maximum of 110ºC.
• Do not use the dryer.
• It is recommended to dry it horizontally and to not hang up the clothes.

How many balls do I need to weave my sewing pieces?

• To weave a medium pullover your will need 10 ball.
