Mondial introduces Respiro, a yarn combining high-quality fibers which will protect you from the cold and wind during winter. Its hairy thread combines natural and synthetic fibers resulting in a durable and soft yarn. Its wavy shape will help you knit fluffy projects!

Mondial Respiro is made of:

• 75% baby alpaca
• 15% pure merino wool
• 10% polyamide

The baby alpaca fibers are obtained from the first shearing of an alpaca, so they are thinner and warmer.

In this case they are combined with pure merino wool fibers, still obtained from the first shearing of a merino sheep.

The polyamide will provide durability and resistance to the ball.

Which are the features of this yarn?

• Each ball has 50 grams and around 100 meters.
• Its thickness is perfect to work with the 5 – 6 mm knitting needles.
• Mount 15 stitches and do 22 rows with your 5,5 mm knitting needles to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
• Handwash with cold water recommended.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Dry flat recommended.
• Do not iron.

Amount of balls needed to:

• To knit a sweater size 10 years old you will need around 300-350 grams (6-7 balls).
• To knit a sweater for women size 38 you will need around 400-450 grams (8-9 balls).
• To knit a sweater for men size 44 you will need 500-550 grams (10-11 balls).
