Mondial Frida

Mondial Frida is a very soft yarn that presents plenty of curls along the thread. Combine Merino wool, acrylic, cotton and yak, the best part of these natural and synthetic fibres. Thanks to this quality, you will get winter garments or accessories that will make you feel in the seventh heaven! Shawls, pullovers, waistcoats, scarfs… Everything is possible with this yarn, perfect for warm, fluffy projects.

You will find this model in different colours. Each one of the combinations mixes different tones along the thread, which creates a very original tweed effect in your garments.

Mondial by Frida is made of:

• 50% Merino virgin wool
• 35% Polyamide 
• 10% Cotton
• 5% Yak

Merino virgin wool is obtained on the first shorn of the sheep and has high-thermal properties. Acrylic provides softness and comfort, just like cotton fibres. Yak fibres are breathable, so your garments will be more durable and lighter.

All in all, this combination of different synthetic and natural fibres will make you fall in love with its quality and resistance.

Which are the features of Mondial by Frida?

• Each ball weighs 50 grams and has 75 meters.
• Its thickness is perfect to knit with 5.5 mm or 6.5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
• Mount 11 stitches and do 19 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square with 6 mm knitting needles.
• Machine wash up to 40ºC.
• Do not use bleach.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not iron.
• Dry flat

Amount of balls needed to:

• To knit a child’s pull size 10 years you will need 250-300 grams, in other words, around 5-6 balls.
• To knit a long sleeve pull size 42 you will need 350-400 grams, in other words, around 7-8 balls.
• To knit a long sleeve pull size 48 you will need 450-500 grams, in other words, around 9-10 balls.
