Detailed information
Malabrigo presents Silky Merino, a yarn composed of equal parts of merino wool and silk. We are sure you will love it for its softness and how comfortable your work will be once it is finished.
It will be a great experience to create clothes and accessories with this combination of luxurious materials: silk and merino wool from Uruguay.
Silk is slightly heavier than merino, so it will give your work a nice dropping effect. Merino will give a fluffy touch to your scarves or shawls.
The range of colours is incredible: solid, with a marbled effect and incredible colour combinations. In addition, the silk makes the yarn absorb the colour in a different way, so the tones will be deeper and more intense.
Each dye is unique, the skeins have been hand dyed in small dye lot. For this reason, there are only 5 skeins per dye.
To avoid that your work has a sudden change of colour, Malabrigo advises you to alternate skeins of different tints during the preparation.
