Malabrigo Mechita is a wool composed entirely of high quality merino wool with a touch of extraordinary softness compared to other types of wool. 

Your project will be as light as comfortable and with this wool you can create all kinds of garments or accessories to maintain your body temperature during the cold winter : shawls, sweaters, scarves ... And much more!

This is a single-ply wool which is characterized by its large size, making it the ideal wool for knitting projects such as shawls. Before making a garment, we recommend you make a sample to see the result of the wool once it is knitted.

This wool has been treated with Superwash, a process that will allow you to machine wash it without damaging it. For this reason, it is ideal for everyday garments and accessories, as well as children's or baby clothes.

The colours are very special and unique because they have been hand-dyed in small dye lots. You can find solid, marbled, marbled effect and totally new colour mixtures for all tastes.

Hand-dyed, it has only 5 skeins of the same dye, so if you want to make a large garment, we recommend you alternate the yarns to avoid drastic changes in colour.

What are the characteristics of Malabrigo Mechita?

• Each ball contains 100 grams and about 384 meters.
• Wool thickness: fingering.
• Its thickness is ideal for working with 2.25 - 2.75 mm needles.
• To make a shawl, you can use needles up to 4 mm.
• To knit a 10 x 10 cm sample, you will have to mount 26 stitches.
• It can be machine-washed in the delicate program and with cold water.
• Dry flat.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not iron.
