Filcolana Merci

Filcolana Merci is a yarn combining wool and cotton fibers resulting in a fine thread, perfect for babies, children, or adults thanks to its softness. Its thread has 4 interlaced plies with a torsion which you will find very easy to work with.

Thanks to its features this yarn is perfect to knit or crochet any garment and accessory. You can use it for wintry or summertime projects, and even for all seasons such as kerchiefs, shawls, sweaters, tops, and clothes for babies.

Filcolana Merci is made of:

• 50% superwash wool
• 50% pima cotton

This combination of natural fibers results in a lightweight and soft yarn suitable for all skins.

This wool has a superwash treatment erasing all the small hairs from its thread providing a pleasant touch.

On the other hand, the pima cotton is well-known by its thinness and high quality.

Which are the features of this yarn?

• Each ball has 50 grams and around 200 meters.
• Its thickness is perfect to work with the 2,5 – 3,5 mm knitting needles.
• Mount 26-28 stitches and do 36-38 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
• Washable at up to 30ºC with products without bleach.
• Tumble dry allowed.
• Iron at mid temperature.

• To knit a tank sweater size M you will need around 150 grams (3 balls).
• To knit a tank sweater size XL you will need around 200 grams (4 balls).
• To knit a sweater for babies size 6 months you will need around 100 grams (2 balls).
