Drops introduces Soft Tweed, the ideal yarn for the coldest seasons of the year. This yarn combines warm and high-quality fibers providing a soft touch. This DK yarn has 8-ply thread which is subtly combed. Its fibers present small tweed specks providing a colorful touch to the yarn.

Your garments will look marbled and rustic at the same time! Soft Tweed is very easy to knit and thanks to this yarn you will get amazing results. Ideal to knit garments and accessories such as vests, sweaters, or jackets!

Drops Soft Tweed is made of:

  • 50% merino wool
  • 25% superfine alpaca
  • 35% viscose

These warm fibers are ideal for winter. The alpaca will provide a softer touch and the viscose a gentle shiny touch.

In addition, its fibers have been combed to make them breathable. Thanks to this, you will knit warm and cozy garments and accessories.

Which are the features of this yarn?

  • Each ball has 50 grams and around 130 meters.
  • Its thickness is perfect to work with the 4 mm knitting needles.
  • Mount 21 stitches and do 28 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
  • Washable at up to 30ºC.
  • Dry flat recommended.
  • Suitable for felting.

Amount of balls needed to:

  • To knit a sweater for children size 7-8 years, you will need around 250 grams (5 balls).
  • To knit a sweater size L, you will need around 450 grams (9 balls).
