DMC Ankara is a thick yarn made of mohair hairs with acrylic fibres. These mohair hairs offer an extra soft, fluffy and elegant finish on your clothes.

This yarn contains a main strand that combines thousands of carded hairs around it. This achieves a high thickness in light weight fabrics. Ideal for your snoods, scarves or knitted and crocheted caps!

This yarn is perfect for knitting winter garments and accessories, such as coats and sweaters to dress elegantly in the coldest days of the year. You can even make blankets and other home accessories!

DMC Ankara is made of:

  • 70% Acrylic
  • 30% Mohair

You should know that DMC Ankara…

  • Each ball has 50 grams and 100 metres.
  • Its Chunky thickness is perfect to knit with the 5,5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
  • Mount 14 stitches and do 19 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square.
  • It can be washed in the washing machine up to 40ºC.
  • Do not iron this product.
  • Do not use the dryer.

  • To knit a long sleeve sweater - Size M, you will need to use 7 balls approx.
