Casasol Merino DK – Hand Dyed presents the Nude collection which gathers several hand-dyed colors inspired by the Humanae project. This project wants to erase all stereotypes linked to skin tones and prove that the color white, black, red, or yellow are associated to any race. Celebrate diversity!
This project wants to prove the uniqueness of each skin color.
The Humanae project is a photographic work by the artist Angélica Dass which took photos of around 4000 volunteers from 20 different countries and 36 cities around the world.
To obtain each shade, a sample of 11 x 11 pixels obtained from a person’s nose to match the industrial Pantone® palette. The obtained colors have been used to dye by hand each Merino DK skein.
Casasol Merino DK – Hand Dyed – Nude Collection is made of:
- 100% merino wool
Which are the features of this yarn?
- Each ball has 100 grams and 200 meters.
- Its thickness is perfect to work with the 3,5 – 4,5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
- Washable at up to 30ºC.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Iron at up to 110ºC.
Amount of balls needed to:
- To knit a sweater size 42 you will need 8 skeins.
