Have you ever wondered what happens to excess wool sweaters? They usually, unfortunately, end up being destroyed due to the complexity of turning them back into thread. But Casasol wanted to take on the responsibility of transforming these surpluses into beautiful balls of wool La Rustica.

This wool is made from wool garments that never reached consumers. Instead of wasting these resources, they become thread again. In addition, we have taken additional measures to preserve sustainability by not dyeing the yarn again, which means that the available colors will be limited and natural.

It is important to mention that this yarn may contain traces of vegetable remains, since, being a rustic wool not dyed in barrels and produced in a carda machine, it does not undergo an intensive cleaning process. However, this feature is precisely what allows La Rustica to be an economically accessible option and 100% recycled wool.

We recommend using La Rustica on decoration pieces and home accessories, as these traces cannot be removed and may require the thread to be cut and re-bonded. This can be a problem in a piece of clothing.
